I'm happy with the quality of product and the delivery. My dog needs time to get used to it as at the moment he does not like the idea of having harness on all the time, so not to stress him we keep putting it on for few minutes at a time. I'm sure he will get used to it but the product itself seems to be doing the job :) Thank you.
This has been a great help with my blind Cavalier. It just took a couple of days for him to get used to it and it prevents so many bumps. I wish I had bought this right away, it would have saved so many trips to the vet for bumped eyes. Even though my house is set up for him he is still an active dog and has bumped his eyes several times. The halo is sturdy and sits above the head unlike the other styles I have seen that sits at the eyes. I would suggest this to anyone, it's easy, light weight and study. Very much worth the money. He also loves it now and looks so so cute in it.
Our halo has been very helpful in helping our recently blind dog navigating. It was the only brand I could find for my Great Pyrenees.
Our senior yorkie has had a rough year, he lost his older brother and shortly after lost his sound and sight. We tried helmets, putting up gates, and puppy proofing the house but nothing seemed to work. He would constantly get stuck in little places and bump his head, he’s a rebel and doesn’t let lack of sight stop him from exploring, especially if your back is turned for 5 seconds. This halo fits him perfectly, and his confidence of being rebel has skyrocketed, he even runs because he knows that if he crashes into a wall he’ll be protected. Hearing him bump his head on walls or the coffee table was so heartbreaking, but thanks to the halo it’s now a thing of the past.
We are so very happy we came across your site. One of our toy poodles totally lost her vision this fall. She is also deaf, and has subluxations of both knees. She is having a difficult time adjusting particularly to the blindness. The nature of her eye traumas involved a detached retina of the left eye and a perforated ulcer on the right eye. After several months of intense vet care to avoid infection or surgical procedures, we are strong enough to try new things! The Muffin's Halo we purchased from you is just that thing!!! I am extremely impressed with everything about it...it's construction, the materials, the fit, and, that it really works just like it's supposed to.
Thank you so much for perfecting this device making our lives easier and protecting Precious from further injuring herself.
The hoop is too short (yes I measured as directed), the velcro on wings was sewn into incorrect places to properly secure hoop. Dog can still put head down and bang into things. The harness is stiff and uncomfortable to dog. Donated to a dog rescue.
I love, LOVE this Halo! I had another, poor quality halo from Amazon, and within a week the halo was bent, he was stepping on it, and it was useless. The Muffins Halo is outstanding! It’s great quality, durable, comfortable, maintains its shape so the halo stays right where it’s supposed to be - in front to keep him safe from bumping into things. My fur baby LOVES the Muffins Halo! He has so much more confidence now navigating the house and yard! He can “see” where he’s going - it’s like he has his own service dog to guide him around :-)! The halo wings provide comfort and stability and the design is flawless and it’s so well made! Pricey but sooo worth it - like they say - you get what you pay for and this halo is worth every dime! Thanks, Muffins Halo, for giving my blind baby a brand new life!
I feel my dog has gotten back some of his confidence since he doesn’t smack into everything anymore . He’s more confident on his feet and he moves faster. It sometime slides to the side or doesn’t fit exactly right but it does the job it’s supposed to do . I’m glad he’s able to get a little more exercise around the house now . I would Deff recommend.
I say it "helps some" because my blind and deaf pup is still using his face to figure out where he is. The halo only minimizes that and I guess that's better than nothing.
My poodle doesn’t seem to mind it as he’s bumping into everything.
It’s a great idea but it’s too small. I did all the measurements just like they said and ended up with a size 4 but the Velcro barely touches as it wraps around him. If he pushes hard enough he can break out of it. His ears also get stuck on the ring when he shakes his head. So then I thought I’d just use it for walks but even that wasn’t successful. I really wanted to love this product. I was so excited for it to help my little blind baby but I just feel I wasted my money.
He’s still adjusting to it. So far he’s not hitting his head as much.
Unfortunately my elderly dog can’t pick his head up or even get up with it on. I’ve tried it on him several times but he can’t get up. I don’t believe it’s too heavy. I think it’s just his age (19). I believe it would have been great for him if he could’ve used it. I am going to donate it as I know it would help a small dog.
Didn’t work for my pet, too expensive to not work, and they didn’t allow returns.
I liked color and putting it on my Nick. We tried a few times, but he has too many health problems. Main thing I need to tell you is that he is a Mini-Schnauzer, 16 lbs. He was lying on the floor for an hour and then in corner of my eye, I saw him struggling to get up and could not. I had to pull him up from the under girth wrap-around velcro stuck on the carpet!!! If I hadn't seen, it would not be good! Idea is add another flap to cover unused portion of wrap-around velcro under girth or it is actually dangerous.
Muffins halo made a world of difference, Wally was blinded in a accident, it was head trauma, no bodily injury, he seemed depressed and withdrawan,as soon as I put the halo on, he started walking around, and now he is all over the place exploring, I created a room for him and had it padded, but he knows where his bed is and his water. I love it, he lives it. Thank you so much for helping me turn a tragedy into a whole new life for my Wally 🐾
Well made but it’s too small. I’ll need to return it for a larger size. I’ll remeasure again.
Olive's new harness was quick and easy to put together. Though the Number 7 wings are just slightly smaller than her shoulders, I could bend them enough to make them fit. She learned to get around quickly. Only thing I miss is a grip on the back of the harness if I have to pull her back by hand. Maybe your next version will have that! Olive is a 5-year-old mix who came down with glaucoma this summer and quickly lost her eyesight. She has since had both eyes removed and is recovering from that operation while wearing a cone, of course. Once the sutures are removed she'll be back to her halo.
